Planner – Back Shift – Sunday to Thursday working 1400 – 2200

Description:

Responsibilities will include:

To produce, communicate and manage an effective and efficient production plan. Monitor attainment of planned production. Carry out any required corrective actions to give balance to a stable plan. To be responsible for reacting to day to day issues that arise after 2pm and amending the forward plan in order to gain maximum efficiencies. Ensuring accurate planning of production to meet customer orders to support sales whilst minimising write off. This role will also incorporate some collation, and analysis of supply chain-based data when required and maintaining ongoing reports.

 Accountabilities:

 To be responsible for direct liaison with the sales teams in order to anticipate changes in customers ordering patterns and variations in quality of products from average orders

  • To provide the production teams & raw material controllers with an accurate advanced forecast of customer requirements
  • To liaise with sales staff and account managers with regard to customer product launches, de-lists and disseminate any information regarding customer activities
  • To oversee control of stock levels of both raw material and finished goods
  • To liaise with general management, operations, sales, warehousing, NPD, etc with regard to stock levels, orders, new product launches, sales promotions and shortages
  • To ensure that all relevant production documentation is completed and checked
  • To undertake analysis work as and when required by the business and maintain ongoing reports
  • To ensure procedures are carried out to the standards laid down by the business
  • To ensure the company’s Health & Safety standards are adhered to and maintained at all times
  • To work without supervision in the best interest of the company
  • Understand production and stock administration in SAP and cover if the need require during the day
  • Understand packaging & material planning role with the ability to pick up any ad hoc evening issues
  • Understand MRP and develop areas to improve the buying plans where relevant
  • Understand supply chain needs for all production lines; develop this knowledge to understand the wider implications and work to improve them
  • To carry out any reasonable ad hoc duties as required by the business

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Strong communication skills with the capability to communicate confidently internally & externally
  • Good team working skills
  • Able to work with an agreed established framework and cope with pressure, taking responsibility for decisions and owning the plans
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to report accurately
  • Excellent people skills, ability to listen, accept and learn from constructive criticism
  • Tactical thought process, able to challenge convention and identify alternative ways of working
  • Relationship builder with the ability to build and develop strong personal relationships with the customer and internally with Farne
  • I.T. Literate
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity and ethical awareness
  • Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks
